Education is about developing a person’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical ability to prepare them to be responsible and engaged members of society.
P.E.S. Modern High School, English Medium, is a one-of-a-kind synthesis of traditional principle and cutting-edge education. The school places a focus on instilling basic values such as courage, compassion, equality and integrity in it’s students. Together with their academic development, the school also encourages the students in the field of sports, co-curricular activities, various competitions etc. This is done to prepare them not just intellectually but also to prepare them to become versatile in all fields of life. We are passionate about promoting humanitarian values and aspire to cultivate a community of lifelong learners, which will embrace unity in diversity and at the same time will respect individual differences.
Academic development is the backbone of Modern High School. The school has maintained its proud legacy of 100% result in S.S.C. Board Examination 2022-2023 with 58 students scoring 90% & above marks and in 2023-24 with 48 students scoring above 90%. This is indeed a noteworthy and praiseworthy achievement of the school. The students are also well prepared for various competitive examinations. Students have brought laurels to the school with their academic success. Not only academics but sports and cultural activities are also an integral part of our school. We believe in the all-round personality development of the students.
There are various extracurricular activities conducted by the school. This year, the annual social gathering, sports events and grand school exhibition were noteworthy events of the school. Every year the school tries to introduce new & innovative concepts for overall development of the students through these events. The result of these eventsis that our students experience & learn new things. We are “studentcentric” in our policies in our school. The success of the school is possible with the able guidance, care and support of Prof. Dr. Mrs. Jyotsna G. Ekbote, Chairperson, School Committee, Prof. Dr. Prakash Dixit, Visitor of the school and Mrs. Vaishali Pimpalkhare, Headmistress of the school.
We hope to lead our students towards the exploration of new avenues available for their generation. I am confident that the days spent at Modern High School will help all our students to achieve great success in their life.

Education is the base of all progress. Its purpose is to inculcate humanitarian values, wisdom, compassion, courage, and reliability in students. At Modern we seek to establish the development of character and spirit of curiosity as the fundamental foundation for successful life. We encourage the students to accomplish the optimally unattainable and be best in every possible way.
We constantly end over to provide our students with a learning environment in which they have as many opportunities as possible in which to excel and distinguish themselves in academic and arange of sports co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
This year too the school has marked the greatest achievement in academics, in S.S.C. Board Examination 2022-23 where 58 students and batch 2023-24 where 48 students have crossed 90 percent and above. In addition to quality academics, “Modern High School” provides a variety of opportunities in sports and other activities for the all-round development of the students. Sports is an integral part of student life, so special efforts are taken for various sports activities, so that along with learning, students also learn the lessons of team spirit and determination. Tennikot is a new game introduced in school where students are shining at National Level Competitions. The school enthusiastically participated in the competition organized by the ‘Kreeda Bharati’, Pune. In this one of the student Master Palash Oswal stood first in the entire Pune city. This is indeed a great achievement.
Modern is well known for its well organized programmes. The school arranged ‘Annual Social Gathering’, ‘Sports Extravaganza’ and ‘Grand Exhibition’, in a very effective and successful manner. Modern strives to offer the students the best learning platform, helping them to broaden their horizon and be successful in life.
I am indeed proud of the untiring dedicated efforts of the staff and students. Modern continues to be one of the reputed school in Pune City. This success has all been possible with the great vision and support of Hon. Prof.Dr. Gajanan Ekbote, Chairman, P. E.Society, Hon. P.ES. Modern High School English Medium offers a structured approach to teaching-learning process to justify the aim of education.
With life becoming increasingly ampetent, children these days face a lot of challenges. Success doesn’t come easily. One must strive and struggle relentlessly to achieve the set goals. In such a scenario, our school provides much needed support educationally, emotionally and morally, to the students for preparing them to build confidence to be able to take practical decisions and to turn their dreams to reality.
As the wheel starts rolling, it requires planning to keep it going. We are fortunate to have a very dedicated and motivated team of staff who know their tasks and work towards achieving them. The school offers a wide variety of enjoyable and successful curricular opportunities, sports activities, and different co-curricular activities.
We are very proud of our continuous goal of achieving 100% result in SSC Board Examination, where in batch 2022-23, 58 students scored 90% and above marks. This year too the school has set a record where the topper of the school is with 98% and 48 students have scored 90% & above, this is indeed a remarkable achievement of the school. We are proud of the students who have achieved success not only in academics but also in sports. Many of our students are international, national and state players in different games.
Co-curricular activities are very important for the development of children. At modern we nurture our students with various activities like Dance competition, Art competition etc. This year the school signed a very special M.O.U. with the ‘Wu Feng University, Taiwan’. The visit of the authorities from ‘Wu Feng University’ has marked the international recognition of the school.
This is all possible with the great efforts and dedication of Headmistress Mrs. Vaishali Pimpalkhare, teaching & non-teaching staff.

It is a matter of pride to pen down the message for the annual school magazine. My heart feels with immense pleasure as I perceive the progress being made at P.E.S. Modern High School, English Medium, Pune-5.
Education is not just about the subjects that are learnt and taught in school. It is a lifelong exercise that can be exciting if we jump onto the train of experience and take a trip to a mesmerizing place on the earth. Creativity and imagination make children grow up to be responsible adult, at Modern we provide an atmosphere to our students for multifaceted development where children are encouraged to challenge their potential in the pursuit of excellence. Our school has a dedicated, qualified staff to help the students to reach their full potential in becoming productive members of society.
We believe that learning doesn’t happen only within the four walls of the classroom. It is an on-going process and can be beyond the place and time. The school is balancing to make the best possible efforts to inculcate strong values combined with academics, sports and extracurricular activities in children.
